My A/C unit stopped working and was scheduled for service same day. Tyler B did an outstanding job! He focused on carefully identifying the root cause of the issue(s). I very much appreciated his courteous and professional manner. He kept me updated on the work he was doing along with explanation on issues as he came across them. it's obvious he enjoys his work and cares about the quality of work performed. He's an exceptional young man and has a very bright future ahead.
Jayla stopped by to perform routine check up and it was so nice to see a woman in this position. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. She explained what she did. I'll be requesting her for my service in the spring.
Kayla came out and did a superb job. She was very professional, friendly, and had an eye for detail. She examined, cleaned, and set everything up to have worry free furnaces this winter. Excellent experience.
This afternoon my AC begin to make a terrible noise so I called total air and heat and they had a technician to me in 25 minutes. My technician, Trent, was quick and efficient. He found that my capacitor had gone out. He was able replace the capacitor in a very timely manner. He checked everything to make sure all other parts were working. I have been using this company for mini years and they've replaced my entire system two times. They are very competitive and very quick to come out and help when there is a problem. I would recommend them to anyone. I won't use anyone else.
The service team from Total Air came out this morning to make a small adjustment as a result of my annual service check up. They are truly an amazingly service oriented company as they uncovered the need for the slight adjustment and came right out and made it ! In a world where so many companies use their annual service program to “invent issues” Total Air operates with total integrity and accountability.
It’s been one year after they replaced all my AC vents and I still look forward to a reason to call their office as view their office staff more like “friends with incredible HVAC knowledge”!!!
This is the best run service company that I have ever dealt with, by far!
Total has serviced and replaced two of my units. I had Jeff out to look at a very old unit expecting him to sell me on a new one, but he took a consultative approach. I really appreciate this approach. We ultimately called him back for the replacement when it failed. The technicians are always on time and friendly. Great company and I refer them to all my neighbors!
The Total Air team did a great job installing our new a/c unit. They were very knowledgeable, efficient and helpful...encouraging us to ask any questions we might have re the installation process. They did a great job of removing old unit & moving new equipment into attic w/o disturbing our household . Left everything very clean. Wld definitely recommend Total Air to anyone searching for a/c maintenance and/or replacement!
My technician, Julian, was quick and efficient. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything he was going to do and it worked great. Love this company been using them for years. Technician professional did a thorough job. Alex was very nice. There was some confusion about the old credit card their office had on file but aside from that, I am very much pleased with the service from this company. Will definitely use them again.

 Inspection

Inspection is the first step towards any water line repair or replacement. Our licensed experts use the latest tech to explore your line and find the problem zone. A thorough inspection ultimately saves time and money by helping determine whether a repair or replacement is needed. It also helps avoid unpleasant surprises halfway through a job. Advanced tools allow us to find the scale and likely cause of a leak. This ensures we can give homeowners the best solution to their situation and an honest estimate before proceeding to the next steps.

An inspection shows plumbers:

  • The line’s material
  • Neighboring erosion or damage
  • The exact location of the leak
  • The available space within the line for noninvasive repair and replacement techniques

Repair

Repairs revolve around your water line’s specific issues and may be a multi-stage process. Tree roots that have breached the pipe need to be cleared before tools that install patches and sealants can fit. Repairs can usually be performed without trenches and external access. However, the line’s material, diameter, and age may rule out some newer techniques. Prior repairs and replacements could also limit options.

Replacement

Sometimes, it’s obvious when a water line needs to be replaced. Full breaks and collapsed lines usually need at least partial replacement. Even if the immediate problem can be repaired, sometimes replacement is the better option. For example, if a line is failing due to age and natural deterioration, patching today’s leak may put pressure on other weak areas likely to break in the near future. The same is true if exceptionally high water pressure is the prime suspect for a leak. Replacing the full line with tougher material could save thousands in the long run.

We proudly offer a range of traditional and noninvasive solutions to fully or partially replace your water line. The problem determines the best solution, so call us now to schedule an inspection.

Long-Term Costs of Leaky Water Lines

A quick response to damaged water lines limits damage to your home and health. Secondary property damage may cost more to repair than the water line costs to replace. The longer the line leaks, the bigger the problems become.

Uncontrolled water is powerful, even in small amounts, and leaks or breaks can lead to:

  • Mold and mildew
  • Soil erosion
  • Contaminated drinking water
  • Fungal growths
  • Pest infestations
  • Compromised foundations
  • Rotting structural elements

Water Line FAQs

When time is in short supply, like when you have a plumbing emergency, then these quick questions and answers can help you find solutions faster.

The best way to confirm a leak is to call a professional with the tools to inspect the line. Common signs of a leak include unusually high water bills, changes in water pressure, dirty or murky water, mold or mildew, damp areas, pooling water in your home or yard, dripping or running sounds when water is not in use, and bad odors. If you have a slab foundation, you could also find warm spots in the floor or see cracks and shifting in the foundation.

Yes! Often, water lines need repairs rather than full replacement, and that typically means less time, stress, and cost to homeowners. Noninvasive techniques give professionals access to a water line’s interior, and minor leaks may be reparable without full water line replacement or trenches.

It depends on the material, age, placement, and condition of the line. While there are Noninvasive techniques available in many circumstances, experts still need to dig a trench to access and replace problem piping under certain conditions.

Usually not, though you should always check your policy to see what’s covered. A water line may be the municipality’s property, and they could be responsible for part of the cost depending on where the line needs work. Once a line crosses onto private property, the homeowner is almost always financially responsible for repairs or replacement.

According to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, water lines must be buried at least 6” below the final grade. This is only a minimum, however, and a line may be several feet underground, especially if the residence sits on uneven terrain.
